Invisalign in Kirribilli
For those looking to achieve a beautiful aligned smile without the use of traditional metal braces, Invisalign™ is an excellent option.
Invisalign is the most advanced clear alignment system in the world, helping over 4 million people achieve the smile of their dreams since its introduction. Here at KB Village Dental, we are proud to offer Invisalign in our Kirribilli dental office. Dr. Evan Soulos has been practicing dentistry for over 15 years; he’ll be happy to guide you on your journey towards a straight and beautiful smile.
How Does Invisalign Work?
To begin your Invisalign treatment, digital scans of your mouth will be taken. These digital scans will be used both to design your treatment plan and to make your aligner trays.
Every two weeks, you’ll receive a new set of trays. Each set focuses on a specific area of the mouth; this helps ensure that each tooth receives the attention it needs to become aligned correctly.
You’ll return to the office every six weeks to have your progress checked and make changes to treatment as needed. Treatment can be completed in as little as six months, but your overall treatment time will be dependent upon the amount of alignment that is needed. Most cases are completed anywhere between six and twelve months.
After your treatment is complete, you’ll receive a set of retainers. It’s crucial that you wear your aligners; they will preserve your beautiful new smile and help ensure that the teeth do not become crooked over time.
Traditional metal braces can be a bit tricky to manage; it’s easy for food to become trapped in-between the brackets, and it can be hard to reach all of the surfaces in the mouth when brushing and flossing.
Thankfully, your Invisalign aligners can easily be removed at any time. You can take them out to brush and floss thoroughly, and when you’re finished, you can simply pop them back into place. No more brackets or hardware getting in the way of a fresh and clean mouth!
What many people may not know is that the health of your teeth and gums is directly connected to the overall health of your body. Crooked teeth may look unsightly, but that’s not the only reason to invest in aligning your smile.
Misaligned teeth have the potential to cause the following conditions and issues:
- Increased risk of cavities (especially between the teeth)
- Inability to thoroughly brush and floss
- Increased risk of gum disease, which can increase your risk of heart disease, Alzheimer’s, and stroke.
- Food becoming trapped between teeth
- Chipped teeth and tooth loss
Investing in straightening your teeth is not just an investment in your appearance and confidence; it’s an investment in the overall health of your body, as well.
Clear Aligner Confidence
It’s the unfortunate truth that metal braces can be a bit unsightly, which can lead to a lack of confidence or the feeling that you need to hide your teeth when smiling.
Here at KB Village Dental, we strive to ensure that our patients have complete confidence in their smile. When you choose to straighten your teeth with Invisalign treatment, most people won’t be able to tell you are wearing aligners. You can take advantage of the confidence that comes along with discreetly aligning your teeth.
Life Not Interrupted
Special occasions like weddings, birthdays or graduations can be a bit intimidating when you’re not confident with your smile. Missing out on pictures that capture your life’s important moments because of your smile can be quite distressing.
It’s time to stop hiding your smile and shying away from the camera at important life events; it’s time to embrace your smile and enjoy the confidence that comes along with aligning your teeth discreetly with Invisalign.
Keeping Your Active Lifestyle
Traditional orthodontic treatment poses a risk while engaging in sports or activities; the brackets can be quite harmful to your lips and cheeks, tearing up the delicate tissues and causing a great deal of pain.
You can easily and quickly remove your Invisalign aligners and pop them back in when you’re finished playing or exercising; no more worries about painful digging or tearing of your gums and lips.
Enjoy The Foods You Love
Traditional metal braces require extensive changes to your diet in order to prevent the metal brackets from breaking and to prevent food from becoming stuck in hard-to-reach places.
Rather than cutting out the foods and snacks you love, you can simply take your Invisalign trays out while you eat and place them back in the mouth once you’ve finished. You can continue enjoying candies, nuts, corn, and other foods that would normally be off-limits with traditional orthodontic treatment. Just be sure to thoroughly brush before you put your trays back into place!
Fewer Visits In-Office
We understand that your schedule doesn’t always accommodate multiple visits. This is especially true when it comes time for an emergency visit (brackets popping off, etc).
When it comes to traditional orthodontic treatment, visits can be time-consuming, and there’s always the chance that you may have to return to the office for emergency repairs or adjustments. This tends to get in the way of work, school, activities, and running a household.
Invisalign requires little to no maintenance, allowing you to maintain your busy schedule and avoid taking time off from work or other important events in order to come in for your dental visits. No more life interrupted!
